If grapevine is to be believed, Ram Gopal Verma has plans to rope in Chunky Pandey in the role of 'Ramu kaka' for his version of 'Sholay'. The world knows that in Ramesh Sippy's 'Sholay', the eternal Ramu kaka was played by none other than veteran actor Satyen Kappu. In the film, Satyen Kappu was a 'dhoti-clad' middle aged man who helped 'thakur' [Sanjiv Kumar] in his daily chores and was a housekeeper and a moral guardian rolled into one.

If this casting coup truly materializes, it would indeed be great fun to see Chunky Pandey playing a Ramu kaka to modern day 'thakur' Mohan Lal!
