Ajith Kumar's Billa 2 is one of the hottest films of the year. Aascar V Ravichandran has obtained the theatrical rights for a record price of around 26 crores. The original producer, Sunir Khetrapal is very happy with the deal as theatrical rights have been snapped in other states as well and the film will be released in June after the promotional campaign gets underway.

Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti and Bruna Abdullah, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey round out the cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja is doing the music. Trade sources insist that with Ajith's star power and Aascar V Ravichandran getting ready to market the film in a big way, it is sure to be a winner.
