Leelai, a film starring Shiv Pandit and Manasi Parekh is all set to release this Friday after languishing in the cans for two years. The film has been given a fresh lease of life for two reasons - one of them is Ajith. The producer of Leelai is Ramesh Babu, Aascar v Ravichandran's brother. Since the latter is distributing Billa 2, the hottest film of the year, theatres have shown their support for his brother by giving Leelai a big release.

Santhanam is the other reason. He is the current flavor of the season and everybody wants a piece of him. He has a big role in Leelai and since Shiv Pandit is not a known face in the South, having shot up to fame with Shaitaan in the North, Santhanam is going to be the big draw! Andrew Louis, a former assistant of SJ Suriyah is the director and music is by Satish Chakravarthy.
