There is a national debate building up on Rochard Gere - Shilpa Shetty kiss controversy. To set the stage clear before she moves on in her life to wrap up the work for her upcoming release LIFE IN A....METRO, Shilpa Shetty held an impromptu press conference.

Addressing the media at Koparkhirane Railway Station in Navi Mumbai where she was shooting for this Anurag Basu film, she defended Gere and gave him a clean chit. She added that he had not done anything obscene and media was unnecessarily creating an issue out of an inconsequential incident.

She yet again pleaded for the fact that the bigger picture should be looked at pertaining to AIDS awareness rather than something as trivial as an innocent kiss.
