The familiar comedy hero of over 100 films in Kannada Jaggesh plays the role of wanderer in 'Beedhi Basava'. He is a street wanderer and does good things to the people around him in this film. Nikitha of 12 Telugu films who appeared in 'Maharaja' opposite Sudeep a few years ago is playing female lead.

The muhurut for this film 'Beedhi Basava' was held on Maha Shivarathri Day at the Doddaganapathi and Basavanna temple in Basavanagudi in Bangalore.

The role is similar to 'Banda Nanna Ganda' film for me said Jaggesh addressing the film media. Actor cum writer Mohan has given wonderful dialogues for this film. This has a rural background and there is a shocking surprise in the climax. I am an orphan and innocent youth. One rich person considers me as his son. To direct a Jaggesh film it was the long time ambition of director Kodlu Ramakrishna. According to director Kodlu comedy hero Jaggesh is next best to Ananthnag in comedy. He is shooting in 45 days and selected 15 locations to shoot.
