Cinematographer ' director John needs no introduction. Son of veteran director Mahendran, John shot to fame with the Vijay starrer 'Sachin'. His maiden directorial venture won him enough accolades.

Taking his own time after 'Sachin', John is back to do his best for his next directorial venture to be produced by Jinnah Creations. Sources say it would be a commercial entertainer.

Buzz is that Jeevan has been urged to play the lead role in the film. The tall actor is currently working for 'Krishnaleelai', directed by Selvan and produced by Kavithalaya.

The untitled film is expected to go to the floors very soon. John in the meanwhile ventured to do a film about the travails of Sri Lankan Tamils, which featured Nanda and Madhumitha in key roles. It is still awaiting release.
