Producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green has said that Mankatha will be remade in Hindi and he has procured the rights for it. He also revealed that the film will be directed by Venkat Prabhu and discussions are on.

The cast and crew are yet to be decided and an announcement will be made soon, Gnanavel Raja was reported as saying.

Gnanavel Raja, a close relative of Suriya and Karthi, had the distribution rights of the Ajith starrer Mankatha, but the film finally went to Sun Pictures and the rest is history.
