Sonam Kapoor took her time to decide but she has finally given the nod for Raanjhnaa, Dhanush's debut film in Hindi to be directed by Anand L Rai of Tanu Weds Manu fame. They will both be playing students from Varanasi who head to Delhi for their studies.

About the decision to have Sonam as the heroine, Dhanush revealed that she was chosen because she has a very expressive face. He added that while it is too early to talk about the film, he is confident that it will bring out the best in him and Sonam Kapoor. Hits have proven elusive for Sonam in Bollywood and she will be hoping that Dhanush will help her break the jinx. Dhanush's next film 3 will hit the screens on the 30th of this month and the Hindi version is expected to release shortly after that.
