Milana Review

Keep aside the inspiration the director has taken from a few films and watch this film. This is very interesting in parts. The combination of Prakash and Puneeth Rajkumar for the first time has not given something big but the film is not boring. Excess of action scenes and unwanted situations that not connect to the main development could have been avoided. When the attempt is made for new wave cinemas in Kannada director Prakash does not come in line.

Dejected Akash (Puneeth Rajkumar) is in fine fettle when his wife Anjali (Parvathi) asks for the divorce on the first night. Anjali has Hemanth (Dilipraj) in mind. The fate of Akash is also similar because he loves one girl and married Anjali on his parent compulsion. On the other hand it is the wish of Anjali father that she should marry Radio Jockey Akash. The compelled marriage should dislodge you would feel. Akash wants the things to move in a smooth way. He applies for divorce with Anjali and the advocate says they should wait for six months.

It becomes obvious for Akash and Anjali to live together as friends. At this living there are very interesting situations. Akash comes forward to trace Hemanth on Anjali's request but it is not all you expect. Hemanth has some ulterior motives. That is because Anjali's father had insulted him. This is what irks Hemanth and he is waiting to take revenge on Anjali. Akash comes to know about this and in a fit of anger he bashes up Hemanth. This boils up the situation for Anjali and she decides to leave the country for further studies once the divorce papers are ready. At this time Anjali's father wants to reunite with his daughter. On Akash's interference the things smoothen between father and daughter. What Anjali's father wants is that his daughter should remain with Akash. Whether Anjali board the flight or be a partner in the life of Akash is a very expected aspect on the screen. It is 'Dil De Chuke Sanam'!

Puneeth Rajkumar has been like a live wire in performance and action. Action scenes look outdated is what he should understand and reduce it in his forthcoming films. Parvathi is a very fine selection to this role. She has got a good future ahead. The comedy of Sihikahi Chandru and Rangayana Raghu is hopeless. Sumithra and Mukyamantri Chandru extended good support. Dilipraj a good actor in small screen should be careful in selection of his roles in big screen.

Krishnakumar is superb in his camera work. Manomurthy has given a very good remix song for this film but he has not come out from the hangover of 'Mungaru Male'. The song Ninnindhale€¦ Anthu inthu€¦.Male Ninthu Hodha Mela are having the shades of Murthy's earlier scorings.

Mr Prakash you have to do a better cinema next time. You have that talent.
