Isaac Newton Son of Philipose Movie Reviews

Isaac Newton Son of Philipose Review

Story:

A boring tale the story begins with Isaac Newton (lal) who is the son of Philippose (nedumudi venu). Philippose dreams of seeing his son as an engineer as he gives his word to his dying wife that he will give the best education. However, Newton is not that sharp and he doesn’t even clear tenth standard. But he has a love story going on with a teacher (abhinaya) who waits patiently. Philippose puts a condition that if Newton passes tenth standard then he can marry the teacher. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:

The director has come up with a funny storyline and while the presentation was moderate, the narrative was weak. The dialogues were average. The script was not interesting and the screenplay lacked depth. The background score was normal and only one song was worth. Cinematography was decent. Editing was required during second half. Costumes were usual and suited the moods while the art department was natural. Lal was more like a misfit to the role but he did his best to do justice. Abhinaya was wasted completely. Nedumudi Venu was natural. Tini Tom tried to bring comedy. Dharmarajan was okay. Others didn’t have scope.

Conclusion:

Coming up with a comedy is a good thing but there is a stage where it has to be convincing and reasonable to the average audience. This was missing in the film. Moreover, the film didn’t have enough depth to really give that humor feeling. The first half goes about with usual elements of romance, songs but the second half seems to have some seriousness but gets very predictable. Overall, this is a film which is hard to appeal to any genre so success is doubtful at the box office.
