Kochadaiyaan’s Rana connection

We suspect this year’s going to be a year of prequels. While the Billa 2 crew boasts that their upcoming film is a prequel to the 2007 film Billa, KS Ravikumar, the script writer of Kochadaiyaan has come up with a rather interesting revelation. The Dasavatharam director, in a public event said that Kochadaiyaan is more or less a prequel to Rana, a film that was to go on floor before Kochadaiyaan.

Rana was put to a halt due to the illness Rajinikanth developed. KS Ravikumar said that after Rajini recovered from the illness, he was in no condition to perform intense actions that was needed for the film Rana. So he claims that the crew came up with a much subtle film Kochadaiyaan as a prequel to the one to follow.
