Rickshawala becomes actor
Waquar Khan is the story of struggles and success. He truly resembles Naseeruddin Shah of Hero Hiralal. This is one of those rare instances when a film inspires reality.
Waquar Khan struggled for 18 years to get work in the film industry. But this struggler was not considered worth. On the other hand he kept working as a rickshaw driver and finally today after 18 years at the age of 33 he is a hero in his own film that he has made with his brother. He is directing and co producing and leading the film.
The budget of the film was 65 lakhs. His film Ishq Na Karna will release on March 31. His brother Naeem Khan was a great support to him all these years. He produced the film along with a co-operative bank.
It is a love story that stars Milind Gunaji, Mushtak Khan, Ehsan Khan and Rinkle Tyagi. Khan wants to show his films to rickshaw drivers first. He will promote his film only through 10000 autos in the city by sticking posters on them, which is unique for a film.
