Kannada Filmdom Dharna

In retaliation the Kannada filmdom showed its strength on Friday morning by assembling at 10 am in front of Town Hall on the busy JC Road and unanimously condemned the attributions made by Tamil Nadu chief Minister M.Karunanidhi on the Hogennakal issue and on Kannadigas. The protest would take a serious turn in the coming days it is reliably learnt.

Kannada film industry personalities Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar, V.Ravichandran, Upendra, Srinath, Mukyamantri Chandru, Darshan, Sa.Ra.Govindu, KFCC members, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Dr.Jayamala, Thara, Jaggesh, Puneeth Rajakumar, Prem, Srinivasamurthy, Basanthkumar Patil, golden star Ganesh, Vijay, Ramya, Vijaya Raghavendra, Murali, Ramkumar, sunder Raj, Chindodi Leela, Anu Prabhakar, Rangayana Raghu, C.V.L.Sastry, KSL Swamee, Karisubbu, Umesh, MN Lakshmidevi, Pushpaswamy, directors, technicians and cinema workers took part in the protest dharna.

Dr.Rajakumar Abhimanigala Sangha President Sa.Ra.Govindu made it clear that we will not tolerate any injustice. He cautioned the TN Chief Minister to behave properly in his speeches. Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar said clearly that when it comes to land, water and Kannada language we will not sit quiet.

Golden star Ganesh in his address said it is not just a mere support via speech. We have to stand united to protest such injustice to our state. Actor Vijay said he would follow the senior's decisions in this direction.

Actor Srinivasamurthy said the observations of senior personality M Karunanidhi was uncalled for. Baasha Dhurabhimana Kannadigaru has in fact lit the fire. MK should have been careful felt Srinivasamurthy.

The Jai Karnataka Sangha after garlanding the Kempegowda statue left to Hogennakal via Mysore in 500 vehicles. They are supposed to join former don Muthappa Rai from Bidadi it is learnt.
