It has been reported that Pritam will be giving music for Priyadarshan's Pirate instead of A.R. Rahman. Priyadarshan wanted someone to give a modern young sound for a contemporary film like Pirate. Pritam is very excited about it because Pirate is a musical score and there will be lot of scope for experimentation. Pirate is based on the subject music piracy.
