Gold slips to Rs.56,100 per tola
Gold slipped by Rs 500 to Rs 56,100 per tola in the local market Tuesday as its international price dropped.
Chairman All Sindh Jewelers Association Haji Haroon told ‘Geo News’ that gold prices fell in the local market as its international price slipped to $ 1,627 an ounce.
Gold shines up at Rs49,414 per 10 grams
Gold surged by Rs 129 to Rs 49,414 per 10 grams in the local market Friday as its international price improved to $ 1,665 an ounce, market sources said.
According to Karachi Saraf Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also went up by Rs 150 at Rs 57,650.
Silver closed higher at Rs 925.71 per 10 grams.
Rival groups clash at Karachi University, 12 injured
At least twelve students were injured when two rival student groups clashed at Karachi University Monday, Geo News reported.
According to sources, students belonging to two rival groups quarreled with each other over pasting a poster near the university’s cafeteria but the argument was turned violent that injured 12 students.

Gold improved by Rs86 to close at Rs 50,228 per 10 grams in the local market Monday as its international price recovered to $1,729 an ounce, market sources said.

The Karachi Stock Exchange's (KSE) benchmark 100-share index ended 2.30 percent, or 255.01 points, higher at 11,338.05. Turnover rose sharply to 77.8 million shares from only 36.45million traded on Monday.
