Mexican Bread Pudding

Mexican Bread PuddingIngredients :

  • Brown Sugar 1 cup 724 cal
  • Water 1 cup 0 cal
  • Cinnamon Stick 1 no 9 cal
  • Bread Loaf 2 no 160 cal
  • Almonds ½ cup 364 cal
  • Walnuts ½ cup 400 cal
  • Raisins 1 cup 371 cal
  • Cheese 2 cups 10 cal
  • Orange peel 1 tbsp 6 cal
  • Whipped Cream 2tbsp 77 cal

Mexican Bread PuddingMethod :

1.
Stir together cinnamon, water & sugar in a pan & bring to a boil.

2.
When it thickens slightly, remove the cinnamon sticks.

3.
Cut bread into 1/2 " thick slices, toast and then break into large pieces.

4.
Place half of the bread in a greased baking dish and top with walnuts, almonds, raisins & cheese.

5.
Then pour half of the cinnamon syrup and repeat layers.

6.
Lastly sprinkle grated orange peels & bake at 350º C.

7.
Serve warm, topped with whipped cream.
