The okra come out slightly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and they’re perfect finger food (like green French fries, but don’t use ketchup). Even my husband, who says that okra is not his favorite vegetable, loved these.The perfect side dish or light lunch–super-easy, fat-free, and delicious.

Preparation Method

  1. 1 wash the okras and hold the knife slantingly and slice the okras in to 1 inch pieces.
  2. 2 Finely chop the Onion lengthwise.
  3. 3 In a bowl, put the okras, Onion, Cashew Nut, asefeotida, gram all all purpose flour, Rice all all purpose flour, Chili powder, Salt, Pepper Powder, Cumin Seed and Curry Leaves & Cilantro & mix well. Keep aside for 2mins.
  4. 4 The okras and Onion will release some moisture, so mix well with that.
  5. 5 Heat Oil in kadai, put a tsp of Oil in the okra mixture and mix well. If needed, sprinkle little Water and mix.
  6. 6 Take small portions of the mixture in to the Oil and fry for 2mins Till the Onion turning golden brown and you get excellent okra flavour.
