Dog names (and pet names in general) are one of my frvoaite topics! We have a Great Dane mix named Madison - she was named before I came into the picture, but now I think it suits her and couldn't imagine calling her anything else - and a Great Pyrenees named Banksy (after the street artist, obviously). We were in the process of adopting a Newfoundland pup whom I was going to call Beverly, but that fell through. The funny thing about having a giant breed dog is that they don't really require all that much square footage as many breeds (especially Great Danes) are just big couch potatoes. Our dogs love going for walks, but will gladly lounge when we're indoors.On the subject of human names, we have friends with a lab named Bill and it suits him quite well. We also have 4 chickens in our backyard named after queens - Cleo, Bess, Esther, and Wilhelmina.
