Namitha keen on character roles

Becoming more cautious about her roles these days is actor Namitha.

The buxom actor from Surat, who shot to fame playing glamour roles, has acted in over half-a-dozen movies in Tamil so far. She managed to leave a presence for herself appearing as a glam doll in all her films.

Post Pachchakkuthirra, the actor has changed her attitude. Until then, she hardly listened to the scripts before accepting films.

These days, Namitha is keen on listening to the storyline and her character before accepting a movie.

She is now cast opposite Jeevan in Naan Avanillai, with S J Suryah in Vyapari and with Vijay in Azhagiya Thamizh Magan.

A great fan of Steven Spielberg and Karan Johar, Namitha says, ''?�An actor has to do varied roles. If the directors keep faith in me and give me challenging roles which demands more performance than glamour, I am ready for it.'?�
