Bhanupriya is Dhanush's mom

After former National award winner Archana, it is now the turn of Bhanupriya to play Dhanush's mother.

The former has donned the role in Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram. The latter is cast as Dhanush's mother in Polladhavan.

Bhanupriya, a classic dancer-turned-actress, has carved a niche for herself playing heroine in various South Indian languages besides Hindi.

She was amazed by the script of Polladhavan, which centers on Bhanupriya's role and immediately accepted to don the role.
