Gear up for Deepavali...

It's just 20 days to go for Deepavali (8 Nov). The festival that I synonymous with Lights is also a gala period in Kollywood. Scores of films would hit the screens on the day.
A host of production houses are getting ready with their movies for a release on Deepavali day.
The confirmed releases for the Festival of Lights include Vijay's 'Azhagiya Tamil Magan', Radhika Sarathkumar's 'Kannamoochi Yaenada', Dhanush starrer 'Polladhavan', Suriya's 'Vel' and Jeevan starrer 'Machaakkaran'.
'Azhagiya Tamil Magan ' is directed by Bharathan and features Vijay and Shriya in lead roles. 'Vel' brings together Suriya and Asin with Hari wielding the megaphone.
After a hit in 'Kanda Naal Muthal'€™, V Priya is directing Sathyaraj, Radhika, Sripriya, Prithviraj and Sandhya for 'Kannamoochi Yaenada'. Dhanush starrer 'Polladhavan' is directed by Vettrimaran, an associate of Balu Mahendra. 'Machaakkaran', directed by Thamizhvannan features Jeevan and Kamna Jethmalani in the lead roles.
A big disappoint awaits film-buffs. Vikram starrer 'Bheema' and Ajith's Billa, which were expected to see the light of the day on Deepavali, have reportedly backed out at the last moment.
Also Kamal Haasan has confirmed that his magnum opus 'Dasavatharam' would be released for Pongal.
