Festive scenes at cinema halls

Its celebration time at cinema halls. The half-a-dozen movies that hit the screens on Deepavali day have been witnessing surging crowds.

Crowds thronged theatres in large numbers and festoons, cutouts and posters find its place in several theatres. Sweets were distributed by the fans.

Vijay's 'Azhagiya Tamil Magan', Suriya's 'Vel', Dhanush starrer 'Polladhavan' and Sathyaraj starrer 'Kanamoochi Yaenada' witnessed splendid openings and it is expected to sustain the grand opening during this week-end too.

The movies have managed to get positive reviews and the word of mouth publicity is also good. "Hopefully more crowds will throng in the coming days", says a theatre-owner.
