Srikanth in 'Aitraaz' remake

The blockbuster Hindi movie 'Aitraaz' starring Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra is getting ready to be remade in Tamil.

Buzz is that the movie would feature Srikanth, who is on a comeback mode, in the lead role. Rajeshwar, who directed movies like Amaran, 'Seevalaperi Pandi' and 'Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi', will wield the megaphone for the movie.

The director has reportedly approached Namitha to don the role enacted by Priyanka Chopra in the original.

'Aitraaz', directed by Abbas Mustan, is about a young girl, who marries an old rich man, lusts on a youth. The movie in Hindi went on to become a huge hit and propelled Akshay Kumar to stardom.

Srikanth, who is currently acting 'Poo' and 'Ettappan', would be doubly delighted to be part of a movie that has all ingredients for success.
