Arun’s new role!

Actor Arun, son of yesteryear actor Vijayakumar is gearing up to don the director'€™s cap. We had earlier reported that he had gone to the States to attend his directorial classes. Now, the actor is through is two-month course for cinema techniques from Hollywood.

Arun had left for the US after he finished his project '€˜Thavam'€™. Arun getting interested in honing his skills had applied for this course and got selected. He has attended the class with 60 other fellow students from around the world. The classes used to be 12-hour long starting from 8.30 in the morning lasting till 8.30 pm, with an hour break in between.

Apart from being trained in direction, camera and editing Arun also got trained in final cutting which is a latest technique. With the knowledge of final cut one can change the scenes that have been shot in any way they wish.

The very first day the students were given a camera and were asked to shoot a short film. Arun Vijay made four short films out which one film runs for six minutes. It was about a widow. This was shown to the entire class of 60 in a Hollywood theatre. When the film was over all gave Arun a standing ovation. Wow!

At the end of two months Arun was given a certificate. Arun has planned to act as a hero for two films after which he has planned to direct his own film.
