‘Vanakamna’ - In the midst of a controversy

Saravanan starrer '€˜Vanakamna'€™ was caught in the controversy even before the movie could hit the floors.

The reason being protests from, few Hindu organizations for denigrating Hindu Gods in the invitations for the movie's muhurrat.

The movie which was supposed to hit the floors on Wednesday carried photograph of Saravanan dressed as Lord Rama. Alleging that those photographers were aimed at insulting Lord Rama, a few Hindu organizations announced to go on a protest against the movie.

Fearing possible repercussion, the muhurrat was called off at the last moment.

Senior police officials too visited the spot. However both the producer and director of the movie stated that they in no way wanted to insult any faith.
