Vijay opts for remake again?
MusicMazaa.com ( May 9, 2008 )
Vijay had always tasted success with remakes. A majority of his movies were remade from Telugu.
Buzz is that Vijay's next '€˜Singam'€™ is reportedly a remake of Bollywood blockbuster '€˜Soldier'€™, which had Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta in lead roles.
Prabhu Deva, who is currently directing Salman Khan for '€˜Pokkiri'€™ Hindi remake had watched '€˜Soldier'€™ recently, following which he reportedly recommended Vijay to redo it in Tamil.
And Vijay, who felt comfortable to work with Prabhu Deva has asked the choreographer turned director to wield the megaphone for the Tamil version, hoping for another blockbuster on the lines of '€˜Pokkiri'€™.
