CM kept busy

Producer - director Shankar met Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and thanked him for his gesture in getting his production venture Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi released.

Shankar along with his director Simbhu Devan called on Karunanidhi and thanked him by presenting a shawl.

It may be recalled that the release of Imsai Arasan was delayed following Censor Board urging them to obtain a No-Objection certificate from the Animal Welfare Board for using animals in their film. Since the process was delayed, he could not release the movie.

Thanks to the Chief Minister's intervention, the decks were cleared for its release.

Similarly, Sathyaraj along with his son Sibiraj had called on Karunanidhi at his residence in Chennai on Tuesday. He reportedly sought his blessings since his next movie in which he plays Thanthai Periyar is going to floors this week.
