Tamanna on top

The up-and-coming Tamanna is fast rising to glory in Kollywood. Though she had a miserable debut in '€˜Kedi'€™, she managed to settle down thanks to Balaji Sakthivel's '€˜Kallori'€™.

Though '€˜Kallori'€™ did not do well at the box-office, she managed to win critical acclaims for her role. Now she is busy doing movies including '€˜Ayan'€™ opposite Suriya, '€˜Padikathavan'€™ with Dhanush, '€˜Anandha Thandavam'€™ and '€˜Netru Indru Naalai'€™ with Ravikrishna. She is flooded with a couple more big offers in Tamil.

The young actress has given the likes of Nayantara, Trisha and Asin a run for their money.

Says Tamanna, 'I am here to stay. I am thankful to one and all, who are keeping faith in me and giving me good characters'.

On working with Suriya in '€˜Ayan'€™, she says, 'acting opposite a talented actor like Suriya in a movie to be produced by AVM which has worked with stalwarts in the industry is indeed a great joy'.

She says, 'I am great fan of Suriya. I've watched his movies, including '€˜Ghajini'€™. Anand did an excellent job behind the lens in '€˜Sivaji'€™. I am confident that he would project me in a different manner in his film'.

'I think I have just made a right beginning and there is a long way to go still ', she says.
