Perarasu's punch dialogues and lyrics
MusicMazaa.com ( June 26, 2008 )
Known for placing punch dialogues in all kinds of sequences, director Perarasu is coming up with his next film 'Thiruvannamalai' starring Arjun and Tania.
Perarasu has come up with lyrics for a fast-tempo song glorifying heroism in this film and Arjun would be dancing to its beats. 'Thiruvannmalai' is about a cable operator having problems with local politicians. With the situation ripe for larger-than-life heroism, one can expect lorry loads of punch dialogues in the film. It is not clear yet as to whether the director himself would appear on screen with some of his usual punch dialogues.
Tania plays a school teacher in the neighborhood and falls in love with the cable operator. Saikumar plays the villain and extensive fight scenes have been canned.
The story starts in Kumbakonam and culminates in Thiruvannamalai. K. Balachander's Kavithalaya Productions is producing this film and grapevine has it that it was this legendary filmmaker who wanted to make a film with Perarasu. Well, this is a feather in Perarasu's cap he'll never forget in his lifetime.
Interestingly, the movie strikes a similarity with Annamalai (sound wise). Rajinikanth's 'Annamalai' was also produced by Kavithalaya and so is 'Thiruvannamalai'. Is Perarasu trying to recreate the 'Annamalai' magic with this film? We'll have to wait and see.
