Playing 'sister' is no piece of cake – Lekha Washington

Popular VJ turned actress Lekha Washington is perturbed when people look down upon her for playing a 'sister' role in her first film 'Jeyam Kondaan'. She plays Vinay's sister in the film and Bhavana plays his love interest.

Lekha Washington asserts rather forcefully, 'I don't know why people have that unique expression when I tell them I play the hero's sister in 'Jeyam Kondaan'. As far as I am concerned, it is a very vital role and I have been enjoying every bit of it. The story cannot do without the character I play'.

Lekha Washington, who made a name for herself taking interviews during the IPL tournament, also said she has signed for a Hindi film and would reveal all about it to the media once she gets her advance. She is also slated to play heroine in a Tamil film and will be paired with a young hero.

'I wouldn't want to play sister roles hereafter' says Lekha Washington.
