Ajith gets ready

After Thirupathi, Ajith will commence shooting for his next Aalwar to be produced by Mohan Natarajan.

The movie will go to floors on 1 August.

Interestingly Chella, a former associate of S J Suyah, who worked with Ajith in Valee, would be directing the film. Asin is cast opposite Ajith in the movie.

The photo shoot involving Ajith and Asin has already been completed.

Says Chella, 'With the blessings of my mentor S J Suryah, I will commence the shooting for Aalwar. Quite typical to Ajith's image, the movie would have a mass theme and would appeal to people of all sections.'

Srikanth Deva will be scoring the music while Ramesh G, who cranked the camera for Naalai, would be the cinematographer.

For Ajith it is a litmus test. After Paramasivam and Tirupathi, he needs a big one to be in the reckoning for the top slot.

But the hard working and committed artiste has consistently bounced back and made his critic eat a humble pie.

Aalwar, hopefully, will give him an opportunity to do it once more.
