More Gang movies

Kollywood was gripped by gang war themes for almost a year. Over a dozen movies including Selvaraghavan's Puthupettai and Vishnuvardhan's Pattiyal were based on underworld.

It now seems the 'gang war' themes are far from over. The trend seems to continue thanks to the recent success of movies like Pattiyal, Chithiram Pesuthadi, Puthupettai, Thalainagaram and Naalai.

Some of the forthcoming movies including Vijay's Pokiri, Jeeva starrer E, Vikram's Bheema and Arjun's Vathiyar are based on gangster and underworld don stories.

It seems the audience have developed a fascination for action-packed movies resulting in more and more of such movies being churned out.
