A bio-pic on Kalaignar

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi needs no introduction. A man with several accomplishments is a name to reckon with in Tamil cinema. He has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for several films since 1950s till the recently-released Uliyin Oosai.

The Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, the senior statesman has brought repute to Tamil. Now Kollywood is gearing up to churn out a movie based on the life of the seasoned statesman.

Debutant director Shakthi G will wield the megaphone for a biopic based on the life of Karunanidhi. The film, aptly titled Kalaignar, will start rolling from the first week of November. A thorough research on the life of the CM has been carried about for the last couple of years. Ilayaraja will score the music for this film.
