Bhagyaraj takes sides

Actor and Director K Bhagyaraj, who was once described by AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran as his 'heir', joined the DMK along with his followers in the presence of DMK chief M Karunanidhi. Bhagyaraj, who was with the AIADMK for some time, had quit and floated his own political outfit. Of late, he had been away from active politics.

Bhagyaraj, who is awaiting the release of his directorial venture Parijatham, said that he had decided to join the DMK as MGR loyalists were 'totally sidelined, neglected and ignored' by AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa.
