Kollywood - Five shows for Deepavali

With seven, some say it could be even eight, films set to release for this Deepavali, this festival day is one of the biggest (in terms of cinema releases) in recent memory.

What more, this is also the biggest Deepavali day without any big releases from the big four of Rajini, Kamal, Vijay, Vikram.

Anyway, with eight movies set to make it, there is increasing pressure on theatres.

Meanwhile, the State government has allowed screening of five shows in theaters for the Deepavali till 27 October.

This is a great boon for the producers.
