Many directors have fallen flat to what is called the second movie syndrome.

Director Simbhudevan wants to avoid this. That is why he is taking his time and effort before getting down to his new venture.

Simbhudevan made history of sorts with his historical Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi.

The comedy with a historical backdrop is something that had never been attempted in Tamil cinema before. He pulled it off brilliantly.

Now that has put an extra responsibility on his shoulder.

He wants to prove that he is no one-film wonder. He has now decided to focus on a mystery thriller. Simbhudevan has zeroed in on the story and he is now getting down to working down the finer details.
