Security for Periyar shoot

Kushboo again elicited more condemnation when she expressed her desire to act as rationalist leader E V R Periyar's wife Maniammai in the movie titled Periyar being directed out by Gnanarajasekaran.

However undeterred by all protests, the actress has gone ahead to do the role and she has joined the sets of Periyar at Tiruchy.

Kushboo looks exactly like the old woman in the makeup and looks at ease playing the role. But the producer is not all that at ease.

Anticipating trouble, the producer and director have opted for a tight security at the shooting spot. Police have been deployed in large numbers where the movie is being shot. No outsiders are allowed to venture inside the shooting spot.

Periyar features Sathyaraj in the title role and Malayalam actress Jyothirmayi as Nagammai.
