Bharathirajaâ??s son passes love test

This has been the season of marriages in Kollywood.

Manoj K Bharathy, son of veteran director Bharathiraja, will marry with actress Nandana at Calicut on 19 November.

A grand reception would be held in Chennai on 1 December at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiyar Hall.

Announcing this to media persons in Chennai on Monday, Bharathiraja, in his typical style, also talked of 'triumph of love', much like in his films.

'I am fortunate to have a good son. Almost a year ago, Manoj expressed his desire to marry Nandhana. Though I was not against his wish, I wanted him to wait for a year only to gauge his romance'.

It was the love test that the man, who had chronicled memorable romances on screen, had kept for his son.

'Fortunately both Manoj and Nandhana were ready to even give up their family for their love. Having churned out so many romantic entertainers, I felt it was my duty to get them united'.

On his part, Manoj expressed his joy at entering wedlock. He said, 'after marriage, I would direct a movie to be produced by my father.'

Nandana, who was also present on the occasion, said, she was moved by Manoj's simplicity and good humor.
