Maniratnam bereaved

Popular director Maniratnam's brother G Srinivasan died in an accident at Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Srinivasan, who was basically a chartered accountant and also producer of films is spending his vacations with his family in Himachal Pradesh.

He went for trekking at Halan and accidentally fell in a ditch and lost his life on the spot. In fact, his family was to return to Chennai by Monday morning.

Srinivas had produced the Tamil versions of 'Iruvar' (Iddaru), 'Yuva', and 'Guru'. Born on September 23, 1958, Srinivasan is survived by his wife and three daughters. His body was shifted to Chennai for last rites.
