Sumanth to play hero in home production

Sumanth, the grandson of Akkineni Nageswara Rao and nephew of Nagarjuna, was introduced to the Telugu film industry, through 'Premakatha' produced on the banner of Annapurna Studios.

After that Sumanth did not act in any films on the same banner for quite some time. However he continued to play hero in various films like 'Gowri, Dhana 51, Mahanandi, Godavari, Chinnodu, Madhumasam and Classmates'.

Surprisingly his hit film 'Satyam' was again on the Annapurna Pictures. After a long gap, again Sumanth signed the dotted line for a film in his home production to be produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna and the film would be directed by a debutant director.

Moreover, Nagarjuna also took a reasonable gap in producing a film after 'Super'. Upcoming heroine Kajal was selected as heroine opposite Sumanth in this film.

The film is likely to go to sets in June.
