Though none of the films were noteworthy in this month, 'Okkadunnadu' did work for Gopichand as he went on to win the hearts of the Andhra audience once again. But the production coup of the year was the casting of Mahesh Manjrekar as Sona bhai in the film. Not everyone gets to cast with the director-turned actor. It was also his first stint in Andhra.
