Shirya signed by Deepa Mehta for 'Stella'

Shriya is surely getting busy up north and may soon not have much left to do south Indian films, where she started off her career.

But on the flip side, this time she got an offer from internationally acclaimed director Deepa Mehta, who has made films such as 'Fire' and 'Water'.

So, Shriya will be on par with the likes of Aamir Khan, Nandita Das and John Abraham, who have acted with Deepa earlier. Incidentally, Lisa Ray who was part of Deepa'€™s 'Water' too is one of the main protagonists of 'Stella'.

It also stars Seema Biswas. The shooting has already begun in Delhi and Deepa plans to finish it in one schedule.

Barring this, Shriya has The Other End of the Line with Jesse Metcalfe and her only south Indian film is the multi-lingual 'Mallana' with Vikram.
