Happy Birthday Krishna

Today is the birthday of the famous veteran actor of Tollywod Ghattamaneni Sivarama Krishna Murthy popularly known as Krishna who was born on May 31, 1943.

He is considered as one of the best actors to have come out of Telugu Tinsel Town and has to his credit around 336 films till now.

The seniority and experience of this prolific actor can simply be known because of him being part of movies which introduced many firsts in Tollywood.

The first movie in colour, first cowboy film, the first cinemascope film and the first 70mm movie in Telugu would have been incomplete without the presence of Krishna.

One of his sons Mahesh Babu is today one of the young accomplished heroes of Tollywood and the other son Ramesh Babu is a film producer.

Out of his three daughters, Manjula is also into the film production business.

Krishna's first film as a hero was 'Tene Manasulu' directed by Aduriti Subbarao which was released in 1965.

An entertainment career spanning more than 40 years and give pleasures to countless number of people and himself becoming part of the history of the Telugu Film Industry is a great feat only a few can achieve in their life time.
