Ileana in 'Sultan the Warrior'

At last the hunt for an actress, to play the female lead with Superstar Rajinikanth in 'Sultan '€“ the Warrior', has ended. Ileana has been chosen to play the part.

Soundarya and team are busy putting together the animation movie Sultan, the Warrior, whose hero is the animated version of her Superstar father. It will be the first animation movie featuring an Indian cine star. The teasers aired with 'Sivaji' have already caught the imagination of fans.

It is a 3-dimensional animated film starring Rajinikanth as the Warrior. The modern technology of motion capture, which involves infrared lights being strapped on the actor in order to capture the exact movements onto the computer is being used. With this technology, Rajinikanth's performance will be applied to the 3D character designed after him.

The animated model will move in exactly the same way as Rajinikanth and other actors perform in the studio.

The work with Rajinikath and Ileana is expected to start from August in a Motion Capture Animation Studio at Hyderabad. AR Rahman is composing music, and a stunt master from Hollywood is working for the fight sequences. The film is intended for release on the Superstars Birthday that falls on December 12.
