Mohan Krishna has been bestowed with the coveted Gollpudi Sriinvas Memorial award.

The award goes to debut director who have made a spectacular beginning to their career.

Writer and actor Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, in the memory of his son Gollapudi Srinivas who was killed during his debut film, has instituted the award.

Indraganti is the 9th recipient of this award, and the first one from the Telugu industry.

Grahanam had earlier won him the best screenplay and best debut director National Award.
