Konchem Touchlo Vunte Cheputanu Review

Veteran Vamsi is quite good at handling sensitive but quirky human emotions. In Koncham Touch Lo Unte Cheputhanu, he tries to mix it with some mass and market elements. The end product, in the event, is a bit of a Tandoori Chopsuey ---neither one thing nor the other. Vamsi's surefootedness with human values is strangely missing in this movie. To be sure, there are some positives in the film, but somehow they seem inadequate. The main problem is the story. It is sketchy and small and doesn't allow scope for stitching up a rich tapestry.

Kalidas (Sivaji) an indigent youth has no more hope in life and hence decides to take the extreme step in life. But a rich man JK (Prakash Raj) saves him. He also gives him all his fortune. On the face of it, there is no catch in this benevolent act. But JK is no ordinary Good Samaritan. He has something to hide.

In the meantime, Kalidas falls in love with Alaknanda (Veda). She is rich. But she is in no hurry to fall in love. To start with, she says she will remain friendly with him and then take a decision later. The rest of the movie is about when she takes that momentous decision.

By the time, the film reaches the denouement stage, you are also at the end of your patience. For, there is nothing gritty and solid to hold your interest. It plods through a predictable course. Sivaji, Veda and Prakash Raj all display the right kind of temperament for their respective roles. The comedy team is also good. Chakri's music too passes muster.

But all of them are let low by a shallow story and shallower script. Vamsi, almost shoots himself in the foot, by opting for a story that constricts his essential creativity. There is comedy in it. There is crime in it. There is romance in it. But the mix is poor, and ergo the film too falls flat.
