Andar Bahar Review

Story:

Andhar Bahar is an entertaining film about the relationship between a husband and wife. It has some brilliant stunts and action and a different kind of music. Overall, though it is long, this is a film which will surely attract the family crowd.
The film starts with a bang. A top class action sequence starts the proceedings with the introduction of Surya, an underworld don. Everyone fears him. When his associate, played by Srujan Lokesh, is killed by another gang, Surya sets out on revenge. In the shootout, the wife of the other gangster is killed. Surya and his friends think even the gangster is dead and head out to Mangalore to hideout for some time. Meanwhile the gangster recovers from his wounds and seeks revenge against Surya for killing his wife. Shashikumar, as the investigation officer is also on the heels of Surya.

However, no one can find Surya. The story takes a different direction with a love story blooming between him and a hospital administrator. Surya learns that Suhasini (Parvathi Menon) wants to marry a police officer who loves his parents. So he acts as an undercover police officer and brings two drama artistes (Srinath and Arundathi Nag) to play his parents. He manages to convince Suhasini and even marries her. But his joy is shortlived as both his opponent gangster and the investigation officer find his location.
The twist in the story is that Surya did not marry Suhasini because he loved her but he knows a secret about her and wants to give her joy. To see what this tricky situation is, you have to watch the movie.
Shivanna and Parvathi give brilliant performance supported by Srinath, Arundhati Nag and Raghu. Singer Vijay Prakash's debut as music composer is good but not great. Jo Ni Harsh does his job with the scissors but he should have found ways to trim the movie. Shekar Chandru is no doubt one of the best cinematographers in Sandalwood and he proves his talent here. A film that can be watched with the family.
