Channa Masala
Ingredients :
- Channa Masala 1 Cup cal
- Soda Bi Carb 1 Pinch cal
- Salt Taste 0 cal
- Onions 2 Nos 2.1 cal
- Tomatoes 2 Nos 44 cal
- Ginger Paste 2 Tsp 6.56 cal
- Roasted Cumin Seeds 1 Tsp 15.3 cal
- Garam Masala 1/2 Tsp 6 cal
- Turmeric Powder 1/2 Tsp 7.1 cal
- Chillie Powder 1 Tsp 21.7 cal
- Brown sugar 1 Tsp cal
- Tamarind Requested cal
- Pomegranate Seeds 1 Tsp cal
- Salt Taste cal
- Oil To fry cal
Method :
1.
Wash & soak the channa over night. Put channa in pressure cooker & cook for 10 mins with Rock salt & soda.
2.
Grind a handful of the boiled channa with Ginger, ½ of the minced onions, garam masala pwd,chillie powder, turmeric powder, Pomegranate seeds & roasted Jeera seeds to a smooth paste – keep aside.
3.
Heat oil when hot, add chopped onions, fry till onions are golden brown. Add the ground masala & continue to fry on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes – mix well and cook till tomatoes are well blended with the masala.
4.
Add the tamarind pulp, cooked channa, salt & a little water mix well & cook till thickness is reached.
5.
Add chopped cilantro.
